Who am I?

Born and raised in Cartagena Colombia. Half Mexican. Currently living in Miami but travelling with my wife every time we have a chance. When I am not in front of a computer you can find me kitesurfing or going to some ⛰️ (I like adventure on every area of my life). Follower of God. The following quote describes pretty well the way I think about life (yes I really like quotes):

What is currently on my mind?

I am passionate about blockchain and the impact that decentralization of different processes could have on our daily lives. Finance, law, supply chains, personal identity, medical records etc... Lately I have been more involved in the Cosmos community contributing to some open source modules with the objective of improving the cross chain communication of EVM compatible platforms as I see this as a major milestone for the wide blockchain adoption.

Have also been reading a lot lately about regenerative agriculture and tech advancements in this area.

Personal Projects

  • Currently under construction is my latest project Makeway - 🚧.
  • Co-founded Fonbnk. A platform that tokenizes Airtime Credit (mobile data) through a simple ERC20 token and provides the infrastructure to redeem those tokens. Focused (but not exclusived to) in the African market. It is currently on TechStars Wester Union Accelerator program 🚀.

Tech Stack

  • Started this year focused on improving my skills in Golang and it has become my dominant language. (Really important if you are contributing to open source blockchain projects)
  • Have spent a good amount of time of my career working on Front-End so I have a good experience working profesionally with React, GraphQl, Typescript, TailwindCSS and lately with NextJS.
  • Have been exposed to both relational and non relational databases on a professional level but If I had to choose I would go with PostgreSQL most of the time.
  • Do not consider myself a DevOps Engineer (not even close), but I have now a pretty solid understanding of Kubernetes.
